Princess Coaches Embraces New Training Initiative
Princess Coaches have welcomed the new Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving (SAFED) course for the bus and coach industry. Initially, SAFED was focused on truck drivers, and later, van drivers to improve road safety and vehicle fuel consumption. The Department for Transport were keen to transfer this success and develop a training course specifically for bus and coach drivers. General Manager Jamie Brown and Training Manager Richard Matthews have recently qualified as instructors to deliver SAFED training.
Managing Director Pete Brown said “I am delighted with their achievement and look forward to implementing the training course to all our driving staff and management. I believe this will have a positive impact on both road safety and further reducing our carbon footprint.”
